Biomedical Science Student – Phil Knuth
Before coming to National University, Phil Knuth was a firefighter/paramedic for 10 years, as well as a paramedic instructor. When he decided to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant, he chose National University as the place to finish his bachelor’s degree.
“When I applied to Northwestern University’s Physician Assistant Program,
I was one of only 30 accepted from a pool of 1,600 applicants.
I got in based on what I did here at National.”
Phil appreciates that professors in the bachelor’s completion program are often the same professors teaching graduate level courses. This, plus a focused student peer group, creates a very challenging and high-level learning environment.
