nuherbs co logoNational University student Bi Lin Feng recently won the $1000 Jade Dragon Scholarship, which is a part of the Chinese Medicine Scholarship program offered by NuHerbs Co. Each year, the company offers three scholarships totaling $4500. Bi is a student in the master of science degree program in oriental medicine.

In addition, Bi’s scholarship essay, focusing on the traditional way of thinking a practitioner needs to cultivate when applying Chinese medicine, was posted online on the company’s website. Bi Lin Feng was born and raised in China and immigrated to the US when she was 19. Because of this, she has a unique insight into the philosophy and mindset surrounding the practice of oriental medicine.

NuHerbs Co. is a leading importer of Chinese herbal formulas, bulk herbs, Chinese medicine supplies, and other custom products. In the 2015 scholarship award cycle, students from over 40 acupuncture and oriental medicine schools across the nation applied for a scholarship during the 2015 award program. The company generously gives a $30 gift certificate to each applicant.

“The NuHerbs Co. scholarship is just one of many corporate scholarships available to our acupuncture and oriental medicine students, in addition to institutional scholarships at National University,” says Robert Dame, director of financial aid.
