The Hon. Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State, will be the featured commencement speaker for an upcoming graduation ceremony at National University of Health Sciences on Thursday, August 19th. Secretary White will address graduates from NUHS’ College of Professional Studies, which includes the doctor of chiropractic medicine program (DC), the doctor of naturopathic medicine program (ND) and master of science programs in acupuncture and oriental medicine (MSAc and MSOM).

Secretary White has been a guest of NUHS at many of its events over the years, and has been a supporter of the University’s mission of bringing excellence to the education of future health care professionals.

“I’m pleased that our students will benefit from the wisdom and encouragement of one of our state’s most dedicated and respected public servants,” says NUHS President James F. Winterstein, DC. “Secretary White has decades of experience not only in government, but also as a teacher and school administrator. This, plus his work in changing the lives of young people through the Jesse White Tumbling Team, gives him a great perspective on how to inspire young professionals to reach their full potential. We are proud that he will share that perspective with our students who, as new physicians, will hopefully carry that inspiration with them as they, too, become leaders in their communities.”
