Mark Wieland, DC
Assistant Professor, Clinical Sciences – Florida
Dr. Wieland is a native of Florida, married with three children and a grandson. He is a 1985 graduate of National University of Health Sciences (formally National College of Chiropractic). Following graduation he returned to Florida and has been in private practice.
He has completed the three-year diplomate course in chiropractic rehabilitation through Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (1999 – 2001) as well as over two hundred hours in advanced orthopedic training through NUHS (2002-2004). He is a Graston Technique certified practitioner and instructor.
Dr. Wieland has participated in professional associations for many years. He became involved with the Florida Chiropractic Association beginning in 1981 as a student member, remaining an active member to date. He was elected to the Board of Directors from 2004-2012 and served in all the officer positions culminating as President 2010-2011. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the ACA Council on Physiological Therapeutics and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Wieland first joined NUHS as an adjunct faculty in the clinical sciences in September 2011, teaching business related courses. In September 2012, he was asked to join the university as a full-time faculty and now teaches additional courses in functional rehabilitation. In June 2013, he was asked to serve as interim chair for clinical sciences in Florida, and was subsequently appointed to that position.
