Sandra Rogers, PhD, Dean of National University of Health Sciences’ (NUHS’) College of Professional Studies – Illinois, was elected to a two-year term as the president of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC). Dr. Rogers was elected at the July 20 Board of Directors meeting in Spokane, Washington.
In her role as president, she will lead the board in discussion and work collaboratively to bring innovation to the naturopathic profession.
“I am eager to contribute to the Board’s effort to advance the naturopathic profession and raise awareness across the country while maximizing our individual and collective strengths,” she said.
“We have numerous goals, and with this Board and our Executive Director, these can be accomplished,” she said.
The AANMC strives to shape the future of the naturopathic medicine profession by advocating for outcomes-based, challenging, humane, and holistic medical education experience; public awareness and support of Naturopathic Medical Education; naturopathic medicine research that improves the knowledge about and the teaching/practice of naturopathic medicine; and provision of high-quality clinical training through health services in the community.
