These last two weeks have been a nice break from the business of this trimester. After my conference we finished up the first round of exams for the tri so this week was all about rest, relaxation, and enjoying a little free time. My family came out for a short weekend visit. It was great to have them–my parents haven’t visited since February, so they enjoyed the warm Florida weather for a few days.

Next weekend I will be out in Cocoa Beach participating in Chiro Games so this weekend my friends and I celebrated Halloween a little early. I carved pumpkins with my girlfriend and we tried our hand at roasting the pumpkin seeds. We made two flavors: chile lime and garlic “fries” – my favorite was the chile lime, using a little Hatch green chile powder, cayenne pepper, salt, olive oil, and a lime! Super spicy and delicious.

We also attended one of my classmates annual Halloween party! I went dressed as a Lucha Libre fighter using a mask I got in Mexico City. I had a blast and it was certainly nice to relax and hang out with friends and classmates.

I’m really excited to go to Chiro Games next week and represent NUHS in a few events. Looking forward to sharing that experience with you all in a few weeks!

Personal Thoughts on Making a Difference

When I first entered chiropractic school, I believed that what we did was adjust and treat spinal conditions. However, chiropractic care is so much more than any individual aspect of care; it is an ideology of wholistic health care not driven from the treatment of illnesses, but actually aligning all aspects of life with the ultimate goal of health and preventive care.
