NUHS chiropractic students will now have the opportunity to participate in a preceptorship program with the Medical College of Medical College of Wisconsin logoWisconsin (MCW) in Milwaukee as part of a new affiliation agreement with NUHS.

The program will provide broad clinical experience in an integrative environment that includes chiropractors, physical therapists, pain psychologists, nurses, physician assistants, physiatrists and neurosurgeons. Students who participate will obtain advanced knowledge and skills in chiropractic clinical care, patient interaction and inter-professional collaboration.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to gain valuable clinical experience before graduation,” said Dr. Theodore Johnson, NUHS dean of clinics. “MCU offers an unique integrative environment that will help prepare students for their future careers in practice.”

MCW is the largest multi-specialty physician practice in Wisconsin with 2.6 million patients visits a year. The college is also the fourth largest private medical school in the nation.

MCW will select one student per trimester to participate. The program is currently accepting applications for the summer trimester of 2019. Interested students will need to provide a letter of intent, CV, copy of their transcript, proof of good academic standing, and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at their institution.
