announcing scholarship winners graphicNational University of Health Sciences recently announced the winners of 14  institutional scholarships and four scholarships sponsored by Standard Process, Inc., a leading producer of whole food and quality nutritional supplements.

The scholarships, which are awarded to current students, ranged from $1,200 to $5,000. Winners are selected based on criteria specific to each scholarship, which often include GPA, essay requirements and letters of recommendation. Criteria for the Standard Process Awards included a minimum GPA of 2.9 or better, a list of personal contributions to the university, the community and the student’s chosen profession, as well as an essay requirement.

The scholarships are funded by a variety of memorial, corporate, alumni donations. “National University is privileged to have several generous donors that help make these scholarships possible,” said Marc Yambao, director of financial aid for NUHS.

Several institutional scholarships are awarded each trimester. More information about spring trimester scholarship applications will be emailed to students in the coming weeks.
