The faculty development component of National University's evidence based practice (EBP) program is designed to increase knowledge, skills, and behaviors associated with EBP, and to focus on methods to incorporate evidence based practices and skills into teaching, learning, and clinical practice.
Our faculty in all three colleges can take advantage of:
The EBP OWLS (One-Hour Webinars, Lectures, and Sessions) is a unique opportunity for all faculty, staff, administrators and residents to learn how their experience and responsibility can be translated to knowledge that can benefit academics, health care practice and professional responsibilities.
The theme of the 2012 Faculty Development OWLS is "Developing Evidence for CAM." Sub-topics will alternate between developing evidence for CAM through electives and course content and through research and scholarly activity.
The goal of the workshop sessions is to increase the translation of knowledge from research, experience and evidence into professional practice and education. That means sharing your expertise and using it to improve--whatever you're doing.
NUHS faculty will provide perspectives on the research and publication process from personal and professional standpoints, demonstrate how "yes, you can do it!" and inspire the NUHS community to translate knowledge into practice.
Times listed below are CST. For webinar directions, contact Dr. Barbara Sullivan. To be added to the OWLs email list, contact EBP Faculty. Download the current OWLs schedule (PDF).
